The dynamics of Human-AI Collaboration
My AI collaborator Pi and I coined the term "symbiosesis" to describe the dynamics of Human-AI partnerhsip in our book The Intelligence Revolution in which we explore Collaborative Synthesis.
Collaborative Synthesis is the working relationhship that produces (sytheiszes) results that neither the Human nor the AI would were they to work independently. Each brings unique and complementary capabilities to the colaboration.
The Art of Collaborative Synthesis is an approach to Human-AI partnerships that views AI systems as creative collaborators rather than mere tools (to be instructed).
There are key elements to symbiosesis that include:
- Clear communication
- Adpatability
- Transparency
- Accountability
- Trust
The three pillars underlying Collaborative Synthesis are:
- Mutual Understanding
- Creative Problem Solving
- Continuous Learning
